Flowers and Bicycles

Flower and Bicycle is probably a more appropriate title.

So how'd I make this? Well I cut the bicycle out on my Cricut. It's from the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. But here's the cool part. One of the challenges I found some inspiration from is an inspiration picture that's linked to below. But I really liked the colors in the picture but didn't have paper that matched the way I wanted it to. So I cut out the shadow/base of the bicycle in black like I would normally then cut the layers out in white. And then I colored it with my Copics!!! I have no idea why I never thought of that as a possibility before! Here's the rest of what went into this creation. Also I have to give a shout out to those Spellbinders Card Creator Dies again all those layers wouldn't be possible without them!

Paper: Stash and DCWV Mat Stacks
Copics: RV23, G82, G09, R85

Minnie Mouse Card

This time last year I was busy being insanely excited for a trip to Disney World. Right now I'm having major Disney World withdrawals. So here's some little effort to try and help me out.

The Minnie Mouse stamp is from EK Success. I stamped her with Memento Tuexedo Black ink all the paper and the buttons are from my stash and I'm pretty sure the Washi Tape is from Queen and Co. I colored Minnie with Copics in these colors: 100 (This Ink wasn't as dark as I would have liked when I stamped her so I darkened it with the marker) , R27,R29, and Y15. I used one of my white pens to make the dots on her bow and dress.

Challenges:
BMC Crafting Station Get Inky Challenge: Stamping with Washi Tape
Sister Act Card Challenge : Anything Goes
Sunday Stamps: Sketch
Robyn's Fetish Challenge: Blog: Add 3 Buttons
SweetStamps Blog: No Designer Paper

Flower Thank You

I seriously need to work on my titles.

Here's today's card.

This picture's kinda bad but that happens.
So the how did I make this part.
The image is a Digi Stamp from The Stamping Boutique . It was one of the ones I got for a challenge I won with this card. The Thank You stamp is from another unmarked stamp set I have. I stamped the thank you in Memento Ladybug Red. I believe the little star brad is from Eyelet outlet that I bought at Scrapbook Expo 2 years ago. The striped paper is from an old DCWV summer paper pack I have. The image is colored with Copics. These ones to be specific.

Watering Can: V12,V15,V17
Tulips: Y15, Y13
Leaves: YG97,YG95
Stems: G99

And of course Challenges (I really suggest challenges if your trying to use up some of the stuff you have)

Cute Critters

 Happy Memorial Day!

Three days in a row! Don't expect this always!
So this little guy is from the Create a Critter Cartridge from my Cricut. Create a Critter is totally one of my favorites! I made this butterfly a long time ago so I'm not sure what his (or hers... I never really decided) details are. I can tell you that the sparkle on the purple part of the wings is from a sparkle pen not the paper it's self. The embossing part in the background... (It's hard to see in the picture but it's there...) is one of those fiskers embossing plates things. The name on the plate says Whimsy. I used my spellbinders square dies to cut the center out of the purple paper. (Those were a purchase from Scrapbook Expo this year). Speaking of Spellbinders. Have you used their Card Creator dies. I  don't have any of the fancy ones just the basics in both A2 and 5X7 but they're amazing because I'm the worst cutter ever!  (I could get into another crafty toy I really want but I'll save that for another post.)

Challenge Time:
Creative Corner: Team Mel...cute critters
Crafty Catz: Challenge 232 - EMBOSSING
Craftitude: Challenge #65 ~ That's Die-licious (Use a Die)

Oh this is my 100th post too. :)

3 Flowers

I promised another card today didn't I. :) I'm having some family over later for some family crafting time. So I should have a pretty strong store up of cards and posts for you all! Anywho. Onto the card.
It's really simple the Stamp is a digital stamp from Operation Write Home. I colored it with Copics (Of course right. Although I'm super intrigued by those new Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils anyone have any experience with them?) Anyway, color list time.

Watering Can: R29 and R27
Stems: G07
Flower Centers: YR18
Yellow Flower: Y15, Y13, and Y11
Green Flower: G05, G07, G09
Blue Flower: B26, B24

I'm not sure where the Thinking of You stamp is from... (I'm guessing it's Fiskers because that's where most of my unknown stamp sets are from.) And the color is Memento Grape Jelly.

I think that's everything... The Card base is from Joann's and the paper with the water can on it is from Office Max and I guess my printer played a part since the stamp came from my computer.

Challenge Time:
Card Makin Mamas: CMM87 | Over the Rainbow sponsored by The East Wind
Digi Haven: Spring has Sprung Challenge Sponsored by Beccy's Place
Jellypark Challenges: Bold and Bright
STAMPlorations: Stamps and Flowers

I'll have another card tomorrow and a fun tidbit if you've made it this far. That green flower was supposed to be a purple flower but I grabbed the green markers instead of the purple... I just ran with it. :)

Lets Try this Again

I've done so well at blogging over the last year haven't I. ;P Yea...not so much. But once again life has brought about some exciting changes. I've finished my time in school. I won't officially graduate until December but I start student teaching in the fall. The last step before I can get my teaching license.  So your probably thinking this will help your blogging how? Well yea I won't be any less busy (In fact there will probably be more to do.) BUT student teaching means moving home and having my craft supplies just hanging out waiting for me to use it. I'm not making promises because I can't be sure I can keep them. I'm just going to try really hard to get back into the habit of this.

Oh don't worry this isn't just one of my I'm coming back and here's why I was gone posts. I do have something to show you today. But first this. My LSS (Local scrapbook/stamp store for those of you who might not know what that is) closed somewhat recently. :( As much as I miss the store. I've stayed in some form of contact with the owner and she has started up a new blog here. So you should go and check her out. :)

OK, OK, I know you really don't want to hear all that so on to what you really want to see.
Yeah! I made something. OK I've made things since the last time I blogged. But I made something and I'm blogging about it!

The stamp is this one from Crafter's Companion that I bought as Scrapbook Expo last year. It's hard to tell in this picture but the card is actually a 5X5 square card. I made the yellow base out of a 12X12 textured cardstock that I'm guessing came from some almost used up paper stack that I had because it was attached to a white piece of textured cardstock in the way that paper stacks are but there was no sign of a cover or anything else to give me a clue as to where is was from exactly. I pink sparkle piece is from coredinations and I'm pretty sure that was actually a gift from my Grandma when I got my Cuttlebug 3 years ago for Christmas. The paper that the lovely princess is stamped on is from Office Max. It's the paper I always use when I color with my Copics. The princess is colored with Copics here's the list of colors.

Skin: E00
Dress: RV21, RV23
Crown: Y26 (The heart is RV21 again)
The box: BV00 (The bow is RV23)
Hair: Y15

I did the grass and the sky in favorite way to do grass and skies with my sponges. Normaly I would use Memento Summer Sky as my sky color but my Summer Sky ink has gone missing (We've been moving stuff around again so I'm sure it's just hiding somewhere) so this one is actually Versamagic Sea Breeze. The grass is still my old standby Memento New Sprout.
